Week 1 (Nov 30th) - Prelim Playoffs:
Teams Ranked 6th-11th play in this round (BEST of 5, games to 21, cap 21).  Winning teams will advance to the QuarterFinals - losing teams, play in seeding games the following week
Teams Ranked 1st-5th play seeding games (Best of 3, games to 21, cap 25).   The 4th and 5th seeds play ( loser gets the 5th seed, winners plays the 3rd seed (winner of that is 3rd, loser 4th), and 1st and 2nd play (winner 1st, loser 2nd) - these are seeds for Quarterfinals.
 
Week 2 (Dec 7th) 
Top 8 teams plays BEST of 5, games to 21, cap 21. Quarterfinal matches - Winners of these advance to semi-finals - Please note some early game starts on this night.
9th  place (between Get Dunced and  Anything for sets) these teams do not play the following week. 
 
Week 3 (Dec 14th)
Winners of Quarterfinals face off in the Semi finals and Finals (both best of 3 to 25, no cap) - losers of SF, play a third place game.
Losers of Quarterfinals play a seeding game (best of 3 to 21).

The mens league will feature 3 rounds.  Round 1 - robin robin vs all 11 teams in the league ( 1 hr games - 3 sets to 21, cap 21).   Round 2 - teams split into 2 divisions (A/B) teams will play a double round robin vs the 6 teams in their division.   

 

Playoffs will be as currently posted.   Teams in pool A will be ranked 1-6, pool B 7-11 ( based on round 2 standings).   Playoffs,Week 1 -Teams seeded 6th-11th will play a best of 5 prelim playoff matches ( games to 21, cap 21).   Teams seeded 1-5 will play a seeding game (best of 3 to 21, cap 25).  Week 2 - Winners of Prelim Games will face teams seeded 1-5 in a best of 5 ( to 21, cap 21) QuarterFinal Match-up.    Losers of Prelim Games will play seeding games ( best of 3 to 21, cap 25).    Week 3 - Winners of QF matches will advance to Semi's and Finals ( both best of 3 to 21, cap 25).   QuarterFinal losers adance to play seeding games best of 3 to 21, cap 25).   

2016 Fall Merchant Men's League

2016 Fall Merchant Men's League

The Merchant Tap house Mens league will feature up to 12 teams of play on Wednesday evenings from 6pm-9pm ( but mostly 7pm-9pm start times). Games being played at Holy Cross and Queen's University. Teams will play 1 or 2, 1 hour matches each evening. The league will have 2 rounds, first, a round robin vs all teams, second, teams will be split into smaller divisions for further round robin play. Teams will compete in playoffs in mid December. The league is scheduled to start September 14th. Cost is $575.
