Thank you for registering for our Thursday night beach 4s league. Teams have until May 31, 2015 to complete their roster.
Information Re League Format
This league will feature three rounds of play. Round 1(May and June) = Round Robin vs all teams in the league , Round 2 =Teams will be split into two divisions based on success of round 1 (playing teams only within division) for July and early August. Round 3 = Playoffs ( Aug11-18-25). Teams will play 2 games per NIGHT on MOST nights of the summer. Games will not be rescheduled due to weather ( i.e. we play unless thunder/lighting) In the case of this, games will be cancelled but not likely rescheduled. Games will start as early as 530pm.
For playoffs teams will be ranked via division (i.e. 1 or 2), then overall record. So teams in division 1 will be ranked 1-9 and division 2, 10-18 - based upon their win lose record for the entire season (not just round 2). Playoffs will feature three rounds. 1(aug13) a best of five Sweet 16 playoff with game winners advancing to A playoffs and game losers advancing to B playoffs ( ps only A champions will recieve league prizes). Prior to Round 1 - Teams seeded 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th will play Qualifying matches to advance - winners will advance and losers will play in CFinal the following week, not advancing past that. Round 2 (aug 20)- A and B quarterfinal matches ( best of 5) - with losers being elminated and winners advancing to A or B Semi/Finals. Round 3(aug 27) will be our semis ( best of 3) and Finals ( best of 3) games.
League games are scheduled for 45mins of play - please do your best to ensure games are started and completed on time, so later games have their complete time available to them. Each game is 2 games to 25 (cap 25). Teams should also be prepared to start games early, as soon as previous games are completed the next game should begin, we recommend having teams ready to play 15mins prior to start time whenever possible.
KATC Thurs Beach 4's (COMP)
Thursday Night Beach 4's features a competitive level of play. Games will start between 530pm-8pm at Kingston Expert tees from Mid May to August. Teams will play between 1-3 matches weekly and will be required to have minimum 1 female and maximum 2 females on the court. Cost $500.
